Avi Shaeffer was a young man who worked to bring Muslims and Jews together. He was killed several years ago in a car accident.
In his memory, universities across the country have an annual Avi Shaeffer Shabbat for which Muslims and Jews come together.
BIG, MSA and Hillel came together after dinner to host a kind of Q&A/discussion among everybody. We sat in chairs arranged in an oval and people could throw questions out to be answered by anybody. It went very smoothly with a constant stream of question--answer--discussion where people from BIG, MSA and Hillel contributed all three. We were there for at least an hour with no lulls in speech.
If you were there and did not get to ask your question or if you weren't there and have a question, comment below and I will pass it on to somebody who can appropriately answer it.
With love and butterflies,
