On a slightly drier note, there are a few pieces of vocabulary that we discovered/learned/talked about that were significant. The first term we arrived at was "seed stories", or the particular stories that religious traditions base their own development around. This would include, for example, the crucifixion of Jesus and the narrative that surrounds him. Next up on the chopping block is the "cessation of prophecy", or what occurred in Judaism, (much of) Christianity and Islam (the Abrahamic faiths) which declared that the time of prophetic communication with the divine had ended. Lastly we have "multiplicity of truth", in which multiple potentially contradicting things can be held to be true simultaneously.
Enjoy our week between meetings, because we will be back with a vengeance on Tuesday. So long, and take a listen to this; nothing to do with religion but it makes me warm and fuzzy inside: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gQWY-JOhF2I....
